With more than 33 million albums sold, you’d think that Jay-Z would be above recognizing his fans at college-town performances. But no, Jay-Z not only rocked Champaign, he recognized and appreciated every single fan that packed the Assembly Hall on Thursday night.

The So You Think You Can Dance Tour came to Assembly Hall this weekend
and, true to the television show’s form, it was full of corny jokes, cheap one-
liners, remarkable choreography and amazing dancing.

The Fray beats expectations at Assembly Hall

After watching/sleeping through the folksy/country opening act, The Wheel, expectations were at an all time low. While the front man of The Wheel, Nathaniel Rateliff, reached/climbed/gasped with never-ending persistence for the purity Isaac Slade offers so effortlessly to The Fray, he never quite achieved it.
