  • A 21-year-old and two 20-year-old men were issued notices to appear for lighting illegal fireworks late Saturday night at the 500 block of East Healey Street.

    According to a police report, the men were lighting them off of their apartment balcony.

  • A 22-year-old woman reported burglary from a motor vehicle at the intersection of Elm Street and Springfield Avenue early Sunday morning.

    According to a police report, the victim left her car parked on the street and when she returned found her window broken and purse missing. They also stole her checks, money, ID and calculator.

  • A 14-year-old boy was arrested for obstructing justice, criminal damage to state supported property, resisting an officer and possession of cannabis Sunday evening at Stratton Elementary School, 902 N. Randolph Street .

    According to a police report, the boy interfered with officers interviewing potential witnesses to criminal damage to school property.

    He was also observed hiding contraband, later found to be cannabis.

  • Criminal damage to property was reported at the 300 block of Broadway Avenue Sunday morning.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender destroyed a small city owned tree.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • Theft under $300 was reported at Collin's Oil, 108 W. University Ave., Sunday.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender took 3 Gatorades, 8 Mountain Dew MDX Energy Soda and 5 Mountain Dew Amp Energy Drinks from the store's cooler.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 19-year-old man was arrested for several infractions at the intersection of Myra Ridge Court and Hillshire Drive Sunday morning.

    According to a police report, the man drove off a dead end road and into a bean field, damaging the field. He returned to the scene several hours later to report the accident and was arrested for hit and run, illegal consumption by a minor, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving and failure to reduce speed.
