  • A 54-year-old woman was issued a notice to appear in court after allegedly stealing a bicycle belonging to a 7-year-old boy at the 900 block of West Maple Street, Sunday.
  • Several citations were issued after police responded to a loud music complaint at the 100 block of South Fourth Street early Sunday morning.

    According to a police report, officers found four subjects in an alley with open alcohol. A 21-year-old man was cited for adult responsibility and resisting or obstructing an officer. A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old Chenoa, Ill., man were cited for possession of alcohol by a minor. A 22-year-old woman was also cited for possession of alcohol on public property.

University
  • A man reported that his credit card had been used to make an unauthorized $1 purchase after his wallet was lost or stolen while he was at CRCE, 1102 W. Gregory Drive, Thursday.

    According to a police report, the wallet also contained eight credit cards, $40, a $150 money order and various identification cards.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 19-year-old man was arrested for unlawful use of weapons and failure to provide a firearm owner's identification card at the 500 block of East Daniel Street early Saturday morning..

    According to a police report, a witness reported seeing the man display the gun outside Joe's Brewery. The man was apprehended by police while driving away from a parking garage at Sixth and John streets. A handgun was found under the front passenger seat of his car.
