- A 38-year-old woman was arrested on charges of aggravated battery at Geo's Chill and Grill, 604 N. Cunningham Ave., early Saturday morning.
According to a police report, the woman was highly intoxicated and battered the bartender, a 25-year-old woman, because she felt she was shorted some change. The offender admitted to battering the bartender when she was escorted outside by the manager. After arriving at the Champaign County Jail, the woman reportedly urinated in a newly detailed squad car.
- A 21-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man were reportedly fighting at the intersection of Bradley and Lincoln avenues early Saturday morning.
According to a police report, both subjects were intoxicated and got into a verbal argument.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of cannabis under 30 grams at the 2300 block of East Main Street late Saturday morning.
According to a police report, the offender was reportedly sleeping on a resident's back porch. The resident wanted the man removed and when police were trying to wake him up, they saw a small plastic bag containing cannabis sticking out of his pocket.
- A 72-year-old woman reported residential burglary at the 2100 block of East Rainbow View Drive early Saturday morning.
According to a police report, an unknown offender removed duct tape from the exterior frame of the ground story window screen of her house. It did not appear that entry was made. However, the woman claims her house key is missing.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- A 23-year-old woman was arrested for burglary and endangering the life of a child at Wal-Mart, 100 S. High Cross Road, late Saturday morning.
According to a police report, the woman entered the business with the intent to steal and used her 5-year-old son to conceal a razor knife and a DVD player.
- A 31-year-old man was arrested for retail theft and possession of drug equipment at County Market, 1819 S. Philo Road, late Saturday night.
According to a police report, the man stole a bottle of Canadian Mist whiskey. After searching his person, police discovered drug equipment.
