  • A 21-year-old woman reported theft and deceptive practices at the 700 block of South Sixth Street, Feb. 15.

    According to a police report, suspects stole the victim's wallet form her purse and used the victim's debit card without permission.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 22-year-old woman was arrested for burglary at Gordman's, 1901 N. Market St., Friday afternoon.

    According to a police report, the woman entered the store with an empty store shopping bag. The suspect placed a pair of athletic shoes into the bag and went to guest services to "return" the shoes for a cash refund.

  • New York and Company, 2000 N. Neil St., reported burglary Friday afternoon.

    According to a police report, the unknown suspects stole eight pairs of pink pants, eight pairs of blue pants and eleven women's tops.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 19-year-old woman reported harassment by telephone at the 1400 block of North Walnut Avenue, Friday afternoon.

    According to a police report, the offender, a 23-year-old woman, was making threatening phone calls.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • Eleven men and women aged 17 to 24 were arrested for possession of alcohol on public property at the zero block of Campustown, Friday.

    According to a police report, six of those arrested were minors, and were cited for being minors in possession.

  • A 24-year-old woman reported property damage at the 1100 block of Dorsey Drive, Wednesday afternoon.

    According to a police report, the victim said an unknown suspect shot BBs at her residence, damaging three windows.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 58-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft at Goodwill, 1102 N. Prospect Ave., Friday afternoon.

    According to a police report, the woman was apprehended for attempting to shoplift an orange University of Illinois sweatshirt, tan high-heel shoes and a black coat.

  • A 22-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man reported property damage at the 900 block of South Fourth Street, early Friday morning.

    According to a police report, unknown suspects damaged the windows and mirrors of two vehicles.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 22-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of West Illinois Street and Cedar Street, Friday evening.

    According to a police report, the offender was in a minor car accident. He had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath, his eyes were bloodshot and he was swaying back and forth. The offender showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests. In addition to the DUI, he was cited for having a blood alcohol content over the legal limit and failing to reduce speed.

  • A 22-year-old man was arrested for selling liquor to minors at Mobil, 2002 N. Lincoln Ave., Friday night.

    According to a police report, the vendor was issued a notice to appear in court.

  • Gamma Phi Beta sorority house, 1110 W. Nevada Ave., reported property damage Friday night.

    According to a police report, unknown offenders broke one of the house's windows.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 29-year-old man, a 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were arrested for carrying an open liquor container on public property at the 1100 block of West Oregon Avenue, Friday night.

    According to a police report, the offenders were seen carrying open alcohol while walking on a city sidewalk.

  • A 35-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of West Illinois Street and North Coler Street, early Saturday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender was driving on a public street and ran a stop sign. The offender was stopped. He admitted to drinking prior to driving. The offender had an odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and glassy eyes. He showed signs of impairment on field sobriety tests.

University
  • An 18-year-old woman was cited for reckless driving at the intersection of Windsor Road and Highcross Road, Thursday night.

    According to a police report, a motorist reported seeing the reckless driver's vehicle traveling in the wrong lane on Route 130. The motorist had to swerve off the road to avoid a collision with the reckless driver.
