They're back: Panera to reopen on campus
After moving off campus several years ago, Panera Bread Company will reopen a restaurant on campus this spring.
JSM Development announced a long-term lease had been signed by Panera, who will occupy the space at 616 E. Green St.
"JSM is very pleased to be able to bring Panera back to Campustown. Panera will be a tremendous addition to Campustown and to our building at 616 E. Green St. JSM has worked with Panera for several years trying to identify a location in Campustown to meet their needs and bring them back to Campustown," said Jill Guth, director of development for JSM, in a press release.
Currently, Panera has two other locations in Champaign-Urbana. No exact date was announced for the opening.
