Psychology Professor joins Beckman Institute as full-time faculty member
Florin Dolcos, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, has joined the Beckman Institute as a full-time faculty member in the Cognitive Neuroscience group according to the Beckman Institute website.
"We are looking at what happens in the brain when we remember emotional events or when we get distracted by emotional stimuli," said Dolcos. According to the website, his research uses brain imaging techniques to study the neural correlates of affective-cognitive interactions in healthy and clinical populations.
"Anyone can relate to remembering particular events or getting distracted with something that is emotional," said Dolcos.
Dolcos will continue to work as a professor while working at the Beckman Institute.
