Inquest for student killed by bus to be held Thursday
12:41 AM 11/16/2004 — The inquest for Carolyn Jeffers, a University doctoral student who was struck and killed by a bus at the intersection of Gregory Drive and Goodwin Avenue on Oct. 27, will be held Thursday, Nov. 18 at 10:50 a.m. at the Urbana Civic Center, 108 E. Water Street.
Hundreds of books reach local children

Several student organizations on campus are collecting books for women and children associated with organizations such as the Crisis Nursery, local elementary schools, The Reading Group and the Center for Women in Transition.

Ioseliani, who came to the United States last November, left behind her job as an economist - and her 18-month-old son, who was too young to come and is staying with grandparents.
Council approves church annex ordinances
12:45 AM 11/16/2004 — The Urbana City Council approved two ordinances Monday night regarding a new annex at Twin City Bible Church. One approved ordinance requested an increase in the floor-area ratio of two different houses owned by the church at 806 and 808 W. Michigan Ave. City planner Paul Lindahl said the church plans to construct the annex in the place of the two houses.

During his hour-long speech based on an academic paper he recently wrote, Norwood said the Harvard community promoted the Nazi regime in Germany.
