Illini host Nebraska in Sweet 16
11:48 PM 11/18/2004 — The Illini soccer team is in for another fight on Saturday when it hosts Nebraska in the third round of the NCAA Tournament at 5 p.m. at the Illinois Track and Soccer Stadium.
Although Saturday's game marks the first time in program history the Illini have played in the Sweet 16, the team is not satisfied with the berth alone - they want to win.
Wrestling tries to get confidence early

It all starts Sunday at the Fifth Annual Missouri Open in Columbia, Mo. Success has been a common theme for the Illini at the Missouri Open - they have had 12 champions over the past four years there.
Volleyball faces conference leaders

Illinois has already taken down two undefeated top-10 teams and will now help decide who will win the Big Ten conference.

The Illini host Arkansas-Pine Bluff at the Assembly Hall at 7 p.m.
The Illini come into Saturday's game 2-0 in exhibition games defeating BK Poprad 114-74 - scoring more points than any other Illini team - and besting the Ohio Girl's Basketball Review Legend team 62-45.
Men's hockey team travels to Kalamazoo

World Wide Players win title

As the World Wide Players and Illinois Victory intramural soccer teams stepped onto the field Wednesday night, both knew their perfect 6-0 seasons were on the line. Victory, the 2003 Champions, were looking for their second straight title, while the Players - four-time semifinalists - hoped to finally take home their first crown.
Former Illini greats continue competition
11:45 PM 11/18/2004 — Rajeev Ram did not win his singles match Thursday night, but he was still pleased with his performance at the ninth annual Northwestern Mutual/Wright Financial Group USTA Challenger. Ram, a former All-American and one of Illinois' 2003 NCAA doubles champions, lost in three sets to Justin Gimelstob.
