Students flock to Study Abroad Fair
12:14 AM 2/2/2005 — Students eagerly lined the tables at the Study Abroad Fair Tuesday in the Illini Union Room C for information about studying in countries all over the world. The fair was intended to give students an opportunity to see what studying abroad has to offer. Jessica Sturm, director of French 103, a program that meets in Avignon, France, said she attended the fair to give students a chance to ask any questions they might have before deciding to attend a school in another country.
Black History Month reflects on culture, heritage

Well for starters, we would have to take 12 flights of stairs on a regular basis, and the streets would be ruled by nothing but chaos. A black man helped create the modern elevator and the traffic light, as well as numerous other everyday conveniences.
Group brings stars to the students
12:25 AM 2/2/2005 — Arms flail in every direction and screams crescendo along the walls while Star Course members silently stand behind the stage, guarding the exits. It was these members who did all the work to get the excited responses from the audience for the band. Star Course is a student-run concert production and performance organization that puts on three to four shows a semester at Foellinger Auditorium.
Video store provides C-U with 20 years of 'Rentertainment'
12:26 AM 2/2/2005 — The patrons of That's Rentertainment, a local video store, have been enjoying its services for some time now. In June of 2005, That's Rentertainment, on the corner of John and Six streets, will celebrate 20 years of business. Geoff Merritt, founder and owner, has seen all 20 years fly by.
