Softball faces stiff competition

Illini prepare for season-ending tourney
1:40 AM 2/11/2005 — Men's and women's wheelchair basketball will be hosting their final regular season tournament this weekend at IMPE, with the men competing in four games and the women in three. In addition to the Illini teams, the tournament will feature several of the top collegiate wheelchair teams in the country, including Texas-Arlington, Arizona, Wisconsin-Whitewater and Edinboro.
Hockey to face Penn State

Zook hires two assistants; Heffner stays at Lafayette
1:34 AM 2/11/2005 — The Illinois football team added its seventh and eighth coaches this week, with the hiring of Ed Zaunbrecher and Randy Melvin. Zaunbrecher joined the staff Thursday. He worked with Illinois head coach Ron Zook for three seasons as the quarterbacks coach at Florida and has experience as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Marshall, LSU and Wake Forest.
