Seniors celebrate season's end

Women look for Big Ten win
12:36 AM 3/3/2005 — Women's basketball is looking to do something it has not done in four years - win a Big Ten Tournament game.
In 2001, the sixth-seeded Illini topped the No. 11 seed Northwestern 75-60 in the first round. The Illini hope history repeats itself today at 4:30 when seventh-seeded Illinois takes on the 10th-seeded Wildcats in Indianapolis to open the Big Ten Tournament.

Three women earn All-Big Ten team honors
12:38 AM 3/3/2005 — Three Illini women's basketball members were named to the All-Big Ten team Tuesday. Senior forward Angelina Williams was selected to the first team by the media and the second team on the coaches' ballot. Senior guard Tiffanie Guthrie was an honorable mention selection to the All-Big Ten team, and freshman forward Danyel Crutcher was named to the All-Freshman team.

Weekend brings rematch 34 years in the making

However, Illinois' opponent Saturday, Texas-Pan American, is looking further back and hoping to return to the success the Broncs had at the beginning of the 1970's.
