Illini senior reflects on tennis career, future
12:29 AM 10/6/2005 — Pramod Dabir has to think back to almost three years ago before he can recall the most poignant memory of his Illinois tennis career - when the Illini won the NCAA Championship as a team in May 2003.
This year, he is hoping to change that.
"It has been a good ride and hopefully, this year, we can top it off with a national championship," Dabir said.
Not the same old Hoosiers

It could be easy for the Illini to get too caught up in the history of the series; they have won four of the last five meetings against the Hoosiers.

After trying his hand in the NFL - he attended the Baltimore Ravens' preseason camp - he's working out and working on getting his real estate license. Oh yeah, and he's been hanging around Memorial Stadium, where he sat down for a chat with the Daily Illini.
Men finish 10th at Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge
12:40 AM 10/6/2005 — Riding sophomore Andy Mack's even par 72 on the final day of the tournament on Tuesday, Illinois climbed two places on the leader board and finished in 10th at the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge, hosted by Northwestern at The Glen Club in Glenview, Ill. The event is a team, as well as a conference competition.

12:43 AM 10/6/2005 — Senior Ryler DeHeart was a virtual unknown amongst collegiate tennis players a year ago.
After claiming the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Indoor singles title last November and becoming an All-American in May, he has usurped the top place in college tennis.

1:06 AM 10/6/2005 — When we last left off, our hero (in this case, you are stuck with moron DI columnist, yours truly) was playing basketball and chatting it up with school children in Japan with a bunch of jokers who like to shout "Spring Break" in the middle of October. The tournament had yet to begin, but the USA National Team was enjoying the sights and sounds of the local life.
