A 48-year-old man was arrested on several charges at the 200 block of Briar Lane on Sunday night.

According to a police report, police were dispatched for an unknown reason and found the suspect hiding. The man was in possession of cannabis, burglary tools and a controlled substance. The man also had a warrant for his arrest.

Police were called to the Mobil Super Pantry, 1302 N. Prospect Ave., on Tuesday for theft.

According to a police report, an unknown offender drove off without paying for his gas. When police went to the man's home, he refused to answer the door.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on several charges at the corner of Third Street and University Avenue on Friday.

According to a police report, an officer initiated a traffic stop after the suspect failed to stop at a stop sign. The man fought the officers, and it resulted in the injury of two police officers.

n Police responded to a call of criminal damage to property at Gasoline Alley, 61 E. Springfield Ave., on Monday.

According to a police report, an unknown offender threw a chunk of concrete at a car, damaging the windshield, sometime over the weekend.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Urbana

An unknown offender stole gas from Circle K Stores, 1809 N. Cunningham Ave., on Monday.

According to a police report, the man entered the store to get his receipt for the gas he thought he purchased. However, Circle K employees found difficulty trying to explain to the man that his card did not go through because the man did not speak any English. The man exited the store not knowing he had stolen gas.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

A 88-year-old woman reported criminal damage to her property at the 1300 block of North Romine Street on Monday morning.

According to a police report, an unknown offender broke the woman's large picture window with a rock sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.
