Area voters to consider school bond
7:49 PM 3/7/2006 — The power will rest in voters' hands on March 21. An election will decide whether Unit 4 schools will benefit from an estimated $65 million bond that will assist with the improvements of more than half of their elementary schools and one high school. A group of 40 community leaders and parents developed a referendum that will be on March's ballot.

Business competition gives $20,000 prize to student-led team
11:39 PM 3/5/2006 — Microlution and Ambient, Inc. won the Sixth Annual V. Dale Cozad Business Plan Competition, winning $20,000 and $10,000, respectively, to help them bring their business plans to fruition. The campus competition, which ended Saturday, gave out more than $50,000 in prizes and services.
New law show one of a kind
9:58 PM 3/6/2006 — Of the 193 law schools in the country, the University's is the only one to have their own TV show on a commercial channel. The show, "Illinois Law," was launched March 5 on WCIA at 10 a.m. and will air every other Sunday until May 14. Dave Johnson, assistant dean of communications in the school of law and the innovator behind the show, said the concept made sense with the increased interest the public has with law.

11:41 PM 3/5/2006 — Champaign 53 notices to appear in court, and 11 people were cited for possessing alcohol on public property on Unofficial, according to Champaign police reports. Ten people were charged as minors in possession at Murphy's Pub, 604 E. Green St., early Saturday morning.
Continuous prayer unites Christians
