  • A 21-year-old man was arrested at the intersection of Chalmers and Locust streets Sunday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender was arrested for operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to reduce speed, breath alcohol over the limit, driving under the influence, and hit and run.

  • A 20-year-old woman was arrested at Jimmy John's, 601 E. Green St., Wednesday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender was acting disorderly. When approached, the officer found that she was underage and extremely intoxicated.

  • An unknown male offender stole money from a business at the 100 block of South Mattis Avenue Tuesday night.

    According to a police report, the suspect pried open video game machines and took the change inside them.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 60-year-old man reported theft at the 500 block of North Neil Street Tuesday afternoon.

    According to a police report, the suspect, a 32-year-old man, stole a ladder from a business and sold it to a scrap yard. The victim located the ladder and bought it back.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • The Music Shoppe, 114 S. Neil St., was victim of deceptive practices, as reported on April 18.

    According to a police report, an unknown male offender used three credit cards to buy a keyboard.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    Urbana

  • A 24-year-old woman was victim of motor vehicle theft at the 1400 block of Ivanhoe Way Tuesday afternoon.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender took the victim's car. She did not give permission to anyone to take her vehicle.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 19-year-old man was arrested for violation of bail bond at the 2000 block of North Lincoln Avenue Tuesday night.

    According to a police report, the offender was found in violation of his bail bond by contacting his girlfriend.

  • A 23-year-old woman was arrested at the 700 block of West Church Street Tuesday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender called the victim, an 18-year-old woman, and told her over the phone that she was going to beat her up. When the suspect arrived at the victim's home, the two fought and then the suspect fled. Both the victim and offender were injured in the fight.

  • A 27-year-old woman was arrested for burglary at Wal-Mart, 100 S. High Cross Road, Tuesday night.

    According to a police report, the offender took seven household wares, a purse and toilet paper without paying for them. The offender was stopped by police outside the store.

  • A 27-year-old woman reported theft at the 1000 block of South Race Street Tuesday morning.

    According to a police report, the woman placed her jacket in the hallway while working. She discovered her coat and contents missing a few hours later.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A person found a small-caliber bullet Tuesday afternoon in the bathroom of Quizno's, 1501 N. Lincoln Ave.

  • An unknown offender entered Wal-Mart, 100 S. High Cross Road the afternoon of April 17 and took a number of items.

    According to a police report, the offender took car stereo equipment.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 22-year-old man was arrested Tuesday afternoon 400 block of East University Avenue.

    According to a police report, the man was stopped for a traffic violation. He was found to have valid warrants after being stopped. He was transported to CCSO.

    University

  • A 19-year-old woman and 18-year-old woman were issued a notice to appear on Thursday morning at the intersection of Sixth and John streets.

    According to a police report, the offenders were purchasing and consuming alcohol underage.

  • A male living in Daniels Hall, 1010 W. Green St., allegedly told an officer that he and a friend had been making prank phone calls to the Aerodynamics Research Lab, 1201 Western Ave. between April 20 and April 24.

    According to police report, a faculty member and graduate student had reported receiving a number of phone calls from a male shouting obscenities and racial slurs. The offender said he made the calls because he was upset about the noise coming from the lab.

    No arrests have been made at the time of the report.
