Illinois drivers buckle-up for safety
9:16 PM 8/3/2006 — For Meg Amos, senior in Education, it was an experience that she is likely never to forget.
On Monday, Amos and three other students were traveling to Ludlow for work when her car was hit from behind at a high speed.
Because they were wearing their seat belts, they avoided serious injuries and Amos said she learned an important lesson from the accident.

1:50 AM 4/2/2007 — Champaign Follett Bookstore, 627 S. Wright St., reported burglary Monday afternoon. According to a police report, the suspect entered a store and selected 10 baseball caps and placed them in a plastic bag. He then exited the store with out paying. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
AOL to workers: You got fired
9:08 PM 8/3/2006 — NEW YORK - AOL will shed as much as a quarter of its global work force within six months as the company seeks more than $1 billion in savings to offset its decision to give more services away for free. Some employees in Europe will still have jobs but with a different company as AOL looks to sell its Internet access businesses there.
