The $3.7 billion proposed operating budget includes all three campuses of the University system. The assessment addresses deferred maintenance costs and represents a $207 million increase in operating funds from 2006.

CUMTD eliminates stops on Lincoln Avenue bus routes
12:14 AM 9/7/2006 — The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District changed bus routes in the east and southeast regions of campus to ease traffic on Lincoln Avenue, said Mike Stubbe, assistant director of service delivery for the CUMTD. Between Nevada Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, traffic on Lincoln will decrease from four lanes to three, but there will only be one bus stop across the Lincoln Avenue Residence Halls, Stubbe said.

12:47 AM 9/7/2006 — NEW YORK - A depressed Hunter College student who swallowed handfuls of Tylenol, then saved her own life by calling 911, was in for a surprise when she returned to her dorm room after the ordeal.
The lock had been changed.
She was being expelled from the dorm, the school informed her, because she violated her housing contract by attempting suicide.
