    Champaign

  • A 76-year-old man was arrested for stealing a Craftsman socket set at the 1800 block of North Moreland Boulevard on Tuesday at 7:55 a.m.

  • A 19-year-old man was arrested for vehicular noise Tuesday at the 400 Block of North Walnut Street.

  • A door and door frame were damaged Tuesday at the 200 block of East Park Avenue.

    Police arrested a 42-year-old man from Champaign and charged him with criminal damage to property.

  • A window was broken at Cafe Kopi, 109 N. Walnut St., Sunday.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A suspect stole a bank deposit bag from the office of Papa John's Pizza, 106 E. Green St.

  • A 47-year-old Urbana woman was a victim of criminal damage to property on the 2000 Block of Neil Street Monday.

    According to a police report, an unknown suspect poured brake fluid on her car, damaging the paint job.

  • A 17-year-old girl was arrested and charged with burglary at the 2400 block of Prospect Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

    According to a police report, the suspect entered the store, concealed a Virgin Mobile cell phone and exited the store without paying.

  • A male suspect attempted to burgle merchandise from the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 2610 N. Prospect Avenue.

    According to a police report, the suspect attempted to steal two computers, jeans, a shirt, crew socks and a Chicago White Sox baseball cap. A manager stopped the suspect, who left the items and fled.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 22-year-old woman lost her drivers license Tuesday on the 700 block of Sixth Street.

    Urbana

  • An 18-year-old woman, two 40-year-old women and a 19-year-old man were accused of criminal damage to property, theft and auto theft at the 1500 block of East Washington Street.

    According to a police report, they allegedly stole a white Oldsmobile and a credit card. They also damaged a poster, a halogen lamp and some clothes.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 66-year-old man was a victim of criminal damage to property Tuesday at the 1700 block of James Cherry Drive.

    According to a police report, the offender threw a rock at the car.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 26-year-old woman of St. Joseph, Ill., was the victim of criminal damage to property at the 1400 block of West Park Street Tuesday.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender damaged her rear-side car window but did not gain entry.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 19-year-old man evaded arrest on the 1100 block of Fairview Avenue Tuesday.

    According to a police report, police had information about a possible armed suspect. When they pursued the suspect, he escaped on foot.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 29-year-old woman was arrested at the 1200 block of University Avenue when she reported her vehicle missing Tuesday.

    According to a police report, police discovered that there was a Champaign County warrant for her arrest. Investigation also revealed that her vehicle was likely repossessed by her finance company.



    University

  • A car was keyed on Saturday in the State Farm Building parking lot at Research Park, located at the corner of First and Hazelwood in Champaign. The cost of repair was estimated at over $1,000.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A camera valued at up to $15,000 was reported as missing or stolen from a third-floor laboratory in the Mechanical Engineering Building, 1206 W. Green St.

    According to a police report, the camera was taken sometime between Aug. 1 and Aug. 30.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • Tools worth about $1,700 were reported as missing or stolen from a construction trailer at 1117 S. Oak St.

    According to a police report, the tools were taken sometime between noon Friday and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
