The fall semester was full of transition for Illini sports. The Tim Brasic era ended and the future face of Illinois athletics emerged in freshman phenom Juice Williams. And for the first time this decade, the Illinois basketball team has had to deal with mediocrity. We have chosen the six stories that represent the best and worst of Illinois sports this past semester - from Illinois football's first non-conference road win in four years to the disappointing news surrounding Illini basketball. We are at a point of uncertainty as 2006 comes to a close. However, 2007 will reveal whether the transitions have been successful.
