Birth control prices to increase at McKinley

Chief Illiniwek logo designer sues for rights to image
6:04 PM 4/5/2007 — CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The man who created the circular, orange-and-blue Chief Illiniwek logo for the University of Illinois 27 years ago wants it back.
But the university's board of trustees - which decided in February to retire the long-controversial chief mascot - said last week that it would retain ownership of the logo, even though it had voted March 13 to stop using the chief's image, name and regalia.

Clybourne, Bar Louie face license suspension
12:51 PM 4/5/2007 — Champaign Mayor Gerald Schweighart announced the suspension of two campus bars' liquor licenses on Wednesday.
The Clybourne, 706 S. Sixth St., and Bar Louie, 510 E. John St., were found to be in violation of their license agreements.
The Clybourne will serve a two-day suspension of its Class-A liquor license April 7-8 for serving alcohol to underage customers and announcing the presence of police officers to warn underage customers, said Paul Berg, assistant city manager and acting deputy liquor commissioner.

FBI agent killed in shootout with suspected bank robbers
1:04 PM 4/5/2007 — READINGTON, N.J. - An FBI agent was killed in a shootout with three bank robbery suspects Thursday in north central New Jersey, a law enforcement official said.
Details of the shooting were not immediately released.
A law enforcement official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said agents were investigating a string of recent bank robberies in central New Jersey when they came upon the suspects leaving a bank near Route 22 in Readington.

Fifth armed robbery hits campus area
12:22 AM 4/5/2007 — University police believe an armed robbery that occurred early Wednesday is connected to similar crimes reported last weekend.
"From the information I have, I think they are related," said Lt. Roy Acree of the University Police.
University police confirmed Wednesday that the robbery occurred at the 600 block of East Clark Street in Champaign.
