Since June 4 and through July 11, freshmen will come to campus for the summer registration program. Once on campus, they might attend different sessions pertaining to their college or take a Quad tour.

Memorial stadium worker falls during construction
7:26 PM 6/15/2007 — A general contractor working on the Memorial Stadium redevelopment project fell and was taken to the hospital. The contractor, whose name is unknown at this time, fell while working on an elevator shaft on the west side of the stadium. The shaft he was working on was one of two being added to that side of the stadium.

Illinois attorney general sues two Champaign County clinics
3:25 PM 6/15/2007 — CHICAGO - Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has filed a lawsuit against two Champaign County medical clinics, alleging the facilities denied primary care to new patients who were covered by Medicaid.
The antitrust lawsuit against Carle Clinic Association of Urbana and Christie Clinic of Champaign was filed Thursday in Champaign County Circuit Court.

Indiana resolves tollway dispute with Illinois
9:55 PM 6/14/2007 — INDIANAPOLIS - Illinois drivers who have electronic passes entitling them to discounts on their tollways will get the same reduced rates that Indiana drivers with transponders will receive on the Indiana Toll Road when electronic tolling starts.
A resolution endorsed by the Indiana Toll Road Oversight Board on Thursday should end a dispute between the two states involving the discounts.

Illinois mother, 3 children found shot to death in SUV
1:07 PM 6/15/2007 — CHANNAHON, Ill. - Three children and their mother were found shot to death Thursday morning in a sport utility vehicle parked just off a highway, and the father was talking to police, authorities said.
The Will County Coroner's office identified the victims as 34-year-old Kimberly Ellen Vaughn and her children _ Abigayle Elizabeth, 12, Cassandra Ellen, 11, and Blake Phili, 8, all of Oswego.

Searchers find missing girl alive on Kankakee River
2:17 PM 6/15/2007 — MOMENCE, Ill. - A 5-year-old Villa Park girl who disappeared two days ago while boating in the Kankakee River walked up to searchers on Friday, hours after her grandfather's body was pulled from the water.
Paramedics were checking on Hannah Klamecki's condition, said Kankakee County Undersheriff Brad O'Keefe.
