Christie Clinic disputes allegations of anti-trust violations with Carle
Christie Clinic did not violate any anti-trust laws, according to a statement released by the clinic Tuesday.
State Attorney General Lisa Madigan filed suit against both Christie Clinic and Carle Clinic Association for allegedly instituting a joint policy that would restrict Medicaid patients' access to health care.
According to a press release from the clinic, Christie made the decision to limit the number of Medicaid patients it would accept independently and was not influenced by Carle's decision to limit services to Medicaid patients, which happened at the same time.
Christie Clinic already serves almost half of the Medicaid patients in Champaign County, according to the press release.
