University expected to set Global Campus tuition
3:20 PM 7/30/2007 — CHICAGO - University of Illinois trustees meeting in Chicago are expected to set tuition rates for the first degrees offered by the new Global Campus. The new, online campus is expected to open in January. The first degrees are expected to be a bachelor of science in nursing and a master's of education.

Research: Wine may fight bacteria that cause sore throats, plaque

According to the study from the University of Pavia in Italy, compounds in both red and white wine have antibacterial qualities that fight strains of Streptococci, which are more commonly known as the bacteria that cause sore throats.

Illinois governor calls special session, lawmakers yawn

Blagojevich responded by criticizing the General Assembly and ordering another special session for Monday - when lawmakers are already scheduled to meet.
