SIU student accused of threatening rampage calls it misunderstanding

"I believe in God, and I believe God knows I have no intentions of ill-will," Olutosin Oduwole, speaking publicly for the first time since his arrest last month, said after pleading not guilty to a four-count indictment, which included a charge that he attempted to make a terrorist threat.

Report: Toy company had record of lead in product
9:05 PM 8/9/2007 — CHICAGO - The toy company that has issued a voluntary recall for a Thomas & Friends spinning top had a 2002 test report showing it contained lead paint, according to a published report.
The Chicago Tribune reported in its Thursday editions that toymaker Schylling Associates changed the design of the toy that year rather than recalling it when a test found it had lead paint.

Teen, man arrested in NJ schoolyard killings of 3 college students
9:11 PM 8/9/2007 — NEWARK, N.J. - A 28-year-old man and a teenage boy were charged Thursday in the execution-style schoolyard killings of three college students and the wounding of another, a crime that has outraged this violence-marred city.
The arrests came within hours of each other, with police taking the 15-year-old boy into custody Wednesday night and the man, Jose Carranza, surrendering to the mayor on Thursday.
