Death of the good Conservative
12:53 AM 9/5/2007 — On Dec. 26, 2006, Gerald Ford, the 38th president of the United States, died. His death marked the passing of the last presidential symbol of true American conservatism. While Republicans revere Ronald Reagan for neoconservative values, his election began the modern decline of the 'good Conservative.

10:12 PM 9/4/2007 — Throughout grade school and high school, in all my years of studying civics, government and U.S. History, I never once learned about the Constitution. Although it is the source document for every law, every Supreme Court decision and the very structure of our government, it can also be rather contentious and was thus deemed too explosive for the secondary school curriculum.

Amnesty International finding choice more rational
10:09 PM 9/4/2007 — Recently the world's most respected human rights organization, Amnesty International, took a stance on the issue of choice. It will now more actively pursue policy and legislation that can provide the innocent victims of violent rape a voice. Previously, it had remained on the fence, and this brave new decision has caused many liberals to rejoice.
