Champaign

    A 31-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at the 1800 block of Joanne Lane on Saturday afternoon.

    According to a police report, officers were serving a search warrant when they seized approximately 264 grams of cannabis.

    A 21-year-old Urbana man was issued a notice to appear at the 200 block of East Green Street on Friday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender had been observed urinating in public.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    Criminal damage was reported at the Pi Kappa Alpha house, 102 E. Chalmers St., Thursday afternoon.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender threw a can of paint into the house, damaging the interior.

    A 24-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Target, 2102 N. Prospect Ave., Thursday night.

    According to a police report, the offender had taken 12 Xbox games and three Polaroid DVD players.

    A 19-year-old woman was issued a notice to appear at The Highdive, 51 E. Main St., Friday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender was a minor in possession of alcohol.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    A 54-year-old man reported his garage had been burglarized Thursday morning at the 600 block of Beardsley Avenue.

    According to a police report, the victim had four black-and-white closed circuit TV cameras stolen.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    An 18-year-old man had his wallet stolen while at The Clybourne, 706 S. Sixth St., on Sept. 4.

    According to a police report, the victim had his debit card, driver's licence and wallet stolen while at the bar.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    A 32-year-old Rantoul, Ill., man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at the intersection of Goodwin Avenue and Eureka Street on Thursday night.

    According to a police report, officers conducted a traffic stop for an improper signal. The driver was found to be driving with a revoked licence. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 452.4 grams of cannabis.

    A 19-year-old woman was issued a notice to appear for underage alcohol sales to a minor at Meijer, 2401 N. Prospect Ave., Friday evening.

    According to a police report, the saleswoman and the purchaser were issued notices to appear.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    Criminal damage was reported at the Manor Care nursing home facility, 309 E. Springfield Ave., Saturday morning.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender had torn off the boards of the fence while running through the back of the picnic area at the nursing home.

    A 20-year-old man is suspected, but no arrests had been made at the time of the report.

University

    A 21-year-old woman was issued a no-trespass letter for the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St.

    According to a police report, the offender had been reported by the loss prevention manager to have removed the price tag of a $41 book. The offender had tried to leave the store without paying for it.

    A Moose, Wyo., man reported that electronic equipment valued at $4,100 was stolen from his car between 10:45 p.m. and 11 p.m. Thursday at the Illini Union, 1401 W. Green St.

    According to a police report, the items stolen included an Apple laptop computer, a transmitter, microphones and an iPod.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    A woman reported her $500 wedding ring was lost or stolen from her locker at Freer Hall, 906 S. Goodwin Ave., between 5:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Friday.

    According to a police report, the woman was swimming at the time the ring went missing.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Urbana

    A 52-year-old man was arrested at the American Legion, 107 N. Broadway Ave., for trespassing and disorderly conduct.

    According to a police report, the offender was intoxicated and fell asleep at the bar. The bartender tried to wake the offender and the offender became belligerent. After causing a disturbance in the bar, the offender was asked to leave several times. The bartender called 911, but upon police arrival the offender refused to leave and was arrested.
