10:57 PM 9/27/2007 — Last semester, the campus was beset by a plague, commonly known as spray chalk. So if the byline of this column looks a bit familiar it's probably because you saw the innocuous spray chalked letters C-H-I-M-E in fading orange and blue as you walked through the quad.

10:58 PM 9/27/2007 — A couple of weeks ago, James Loewen, professor of sociology at the University of Vermont, came to speak at Allen Hall as a part of the hall's Unit One Guest-In-Residence program. He is the author of "Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong," "Sundown Towns: A Hidden Dimension of American Racism," and many other books.
