Champaign

  • A 51-year-old man reported residential burglary at the 1000 block of Eureka Street, Thursday morning.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender forced entry into his residence and took a skill saw.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 19-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of Garwood and Champaign streets early Sunday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender was also cited for improper parking on the roadway.

  • A 20-year-old woman reported criminal damage to property at the 500 block of Third Street late Sunday morning.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender damaged the victim's vehicle by putting a road barricade on top of it, causing damage to the sunroof.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 27-year-old woman reported criminal damage to property at the 900 block of Pomona Drive, Sept. 23.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender egged the victim's car.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 21-year-old woman reported criminal damage to property at the 2400 block of Neil Street, Sunday evening.

    According to a police report, a 22-year-old man entered the victim's apartment without her permission and took two pairs of shoes, a phone and personal documents.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Urbana

  • Sportland Yamaha, 1602 N. Lincoln Ave., reported theft Sunday afternoon.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender stole 11 jackets from the business.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 21-year-old man reported burglary from his motor vehicle at the 800 block of Nevada Street, Saturday morning.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender entered the victim's vehicle and took a CD player, an MP3 player and one CD.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 32-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sale at the 600 block of University Avenue, Friday night.

    According to a police report, the offender was stopped for a traffic violation. A K-9 unit alerted to the car and the offender was found to be in possession of a controlled substance packaged for sale. Officers also found cannabis and drug equipment.

  • A 56-year-old man was arrested for theft at Schnucks, 200 N. Vine St., Friday evening.

    According to a police report, the offender entered the business, took two bottles of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum and left without paying for them.

  • University

    • A motorist reported criminal damage to property at the 1900 block of Griffith Drive, Friday morning.

      According to a police report, the motorist was driving when a hedge apple fell from a tree onto his car, causing damage to the plastic trim. Damages incurred are estimated at $300.

      No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    • An unknown offender caused damage at Mumford Hall, 1301 W. Gregory Drive, some time between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. Thursday.

      According to a police report, the offender damages a wood support piece on a conference table, causing an estimated damage of $300.

      No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    • A 23-year-old man was arrested for driving with a suspended license at the intersection of Green and Wright streets, Sunday.

      According to a police report, an officer stopped the offender because occupants in his car were yelling at a pedestrian near the intersection.

      No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    • A 23-year-old Glen Ellyn, Ill., man was cited for attempting to flee police on First Street, Friday evening.

      According to a police report, the offender was among a large group of bicyclists that were riding abreast southbound on First Street. The offender obstructed a squad car that was in the northbound lane and refused to stop when the officer turned on his emergency lights. The officer apprehended the offender near the intersection of Locust and Daniel streets.

      No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

    • A 20-year-old Orland Park, Ill., man was issued a notice to appear in court for underage purchase and consumption of alcohol at the 300 block of Daniel Street, Saturday night.

      According to a police report, the offender was seen carrying a section of snow fencing while walking down the street.

      No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
