The Illini set a season high for points and total yards in the game with 655, the third most yards in a game in Illinois history, in its 44-17 victory against Minnesota on Saturday night.

Volleyball registers home win
1:56 AM 11/5/2007 — An emotional weekend ended on a positive note for the Illinois volleyball team. Despite dropping a tough, five-game match against the Northwestern Wildcats on Friday, the Illini bounced back Saturday, coming out on top in four against Michigan State.
The victory against the Spartans marks the first at home in Huff Hall in conference play.

The Illini offense assaulted Minnesota in the Metrodome to notch its seventh victory of the year. Illinois racked up 44 points and amounted 655 yards of total offense.

Women recover in second half, coast to easy exhibition victory
2:07 AM 11/5/2007 — After a sloppy first half, the Illinois women's basketball team scored 48 points in the second half to cruise to an 86-39 victory against DT3 in its only exhibition game of the season on Sunday.
DT3, a collection of former collegiate players from the Midwest, challenged the Illini in the first half, but new head coach Jolette Law made sure the second half was different.
