Illinois at #1 Ohio State
Yeah, this could cost me a Writers' Picks title, but do I look worried to you? Just look at me. Still smilin'.
Winner: Illinois 24, Ohio State 21

#18 Auburn at #10 Georgia
I picked against the Bulldogs when they played Florida. I won't be picking against them again anytime soon.
Winner: Georgia 35, Auburn 21

#15 Florida at South Carolina
South Carolina beat Georgia, and Georgia beat Florida. Therefore, I believe the transitive property makes South Carolina greater than Florida. Uh oh. Upset pick of the week!
Winner: South Carolina 20, Florida 17

#12 Michigan at Wisconsin
I don't like Michigan. And I don't like Wisconsin. That makes picking on this game extraordinarily difficult. Let this be the only time I ever say this: M Go Blue.
Winner: Michigan 30, Wisconsin 23

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
I don't like this whole NFL thing. But I do like Eastern Illinois alum Tony Romo a whole lot more than little Manning.
Winner: Cowboys 35, Giants 28

Steve Contorno, 36-14
Deputy sports editor

Illinois at #1 Ohio State
The Writers' Picks race has gotten too heated to be a homer right now. Who knew Ohio State would be so good after losing its entire offense.
Winner: Ohio State 27, Illinois 17

#18 Auburn at #10 Georgia
Georgia is now the favorite to win the SEC East, but Auburn has been a two-face team all season. Which Auburn will show? I'm bankin' on the one that beat Florida.
Winner: Auburn 24, Georgia 21

#15 Florida at South Carolina
The Ol' Ball Coach will pull out all the stops to beat his Ol' team. I don't think it'll be enough. I give it two or three more years before the Gamecocks contend for a SEC title.
Winner: Florida 28, South Carolina 21

#12 Michigan at Wisconsin
Even if P.J. Hill plays, the Badgers' offense plays well into Michigan's defensive scheme.
Winner: Michigan 24, Wisconsin 17

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
It was about this time last year that Tony Romo had the breakdown game that led to the Cowboys' demise...
Winner: Giants 31, Cowboys 21

Jason Grodsky, 37-13
Football writer

Illinois at #1 Ohio State
Illinois kept the Buckeyes in check last year, sort of. With another year of experience and the conference's best running back, the Illini will keep it close again, but at the Horseshoe the Buckeyes will take it. Again.
Winner: Ohio State 21, Illinois 14

#18 Auburn at #10 Georgia
The Bulldogs have my favorite mascot of all-time, Uga, on their side at home and will take a bite out of the Tigers.
Winner: Georgia 28, Auburn 21

#15 Florida at South Carolina
It's always fun to look ahead, and if the Illini finish third in the Big Ten they could face off against the winner of this game on Jan. 1 in the Outback Bowl.
Winner: Florida 28, South Carolina 17

#12 Michigan at Wisconsin
Illinois really needs the Badgers to lose if they are going to make a New Year's Day bowl. Hopefully the Maize and Blue can help the Illini out.
Winner: Michigan 24, Wisconsin 21

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
Dallas squeaks out a road win. But either way, look for one of these teams to be the punching bag for the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl this year.
Winner: Cowboys 35, Giants 28

Mike Theodore, 35-15
Football writer

Illinois at #1 Ohio State
The Illini are coming off a tremendous offensive performance and have nothing to lose against the Buckeyes, who could be looking ahead to Michigan. Yes, I'm a homer.
Winner: Illinois 20, Ohio State 17

#18 Auburn at #10 Georgia
The Tigers have held opponents to seven points or less four of the five weeks, but I think Georgia at home is too much and will roll to its fourth straight.
Winner: Georgia 21, Auburn 16

#15 Florida at South Carolina
Is anyone else sick of Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer?
Winner: Florida 28, South Carolina 24

#12 Michigan at Wisconsin
Tough game on the road for the Wolverines, but they'll squeak one more out before next week's OSU matchup.
Winner: Michigan 20, Wisconsin 17

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
NFL, huh? Seeing how well I'm doing with college games, this could be a good idea. I'll go with Romo for the road win.
Winner: Cowboys 24, Giants 14

Daniel Johnson, 38-12

Illinois at #1 Ohio State
See column on page 1.
Winner: Illinois 28, Ohio State 27

#18 Auburn at #10 Georgia
Georgia's entire team will storm the field again after scoring their second touchdown, intimidating Tommy Tuberville and the Tigers.
Winner: Georgia 28, Auburn 21

#15 Florida at South Carolina
This should be about as heated a game as the SEC gets. That being said, I still think that the Gator offense can lead Urban's boys to the win.
Winner: Florida 24, South Carolina 21

#12 Michigan at Wisconsin

Winner: Michigan 35, Wisconsin 17

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
I hate the Cowboys. I hate TO. I hate Jerry Jones. It hurts to make this pick.
Winner: Cowboys 28, Giants 21

If the Illini finish 3rd in the Big Ten standings that is no guarantee they'll be headed to the Outback Bowl. The Outback Bowl gets the 3rd pick from the bowl eligible Big Ten teams and is under no obligation to follow the standings. (Continued…)
