Nine different Illini found the net and Nick Pecoraro made 23 saves as the Illinois hockey club wrapped up an undefeated first semester with another 11-1 rout of Illinois State Saturday night.
Drew Heredia added a goal to his hat trick on Friday, while freshman forward Mark Price netted his first career goal.
Pecoraro, a freshman goaltender, made his first career start, allowing one goal while also carding a rare assist on the Illini's third score of the night.
The Illini's 22 goals in the sweep of the Redbirds was a season high for a series.
Illinois now enters semester break at 17-0-0 and will return to action on Jan. 4, taking on Michigan-Dearborn on the road.
