Champaign
- A 33-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at the 1900 block of West Kirby Avenue late Monday night.
According to a police report, the driver disobeyed a stop sign. During a search incident to the arrest, police discovered drug paraphernalia on the driver. The driver also had an in-state warrant. The driver was taken to jail on the warrant and issued a notice to appear in court for possession of drug paraphernalia.
- A 19-year-old man, two 22-year-old men and a 23-year-old man were arrested for various alcohol charges at the 300 block of East Green Street Friday night.
According to a police report, officers checked a party taking place at a residence. The 19-year-old was charged for being a minor in possession of alcohol. One of the 22-year-old men and the 23-year-old man were charged with illegal alcohol sales. The other 22-year-old man was charged for having kegs without a license.
- A 25-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis at the 1400 block of Harris Avenue early Tuesday morning.
According to a police report, in addition to the drug charges, the offender was also charged with having an in-state warrant, driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured motorized vehicle.
- A 30-year-old woman reported violation of order of protection at the 2600 block of West Kirby Avenue Tuesday night.
According to a police report, the victim reported to have received several voicemail messages from the suspect, a 31-year-old man. These calls were in violation of an active order of protection.
- A 19-year-old man was arrested for retail theft at Meijer, 2401 N. Prospect Ave., Tuesday night.
According to a police report, the thief purchased an item in the store. Before leaving the store, he placed an item into the bag and later placed game cards into his pocket. He was caught and issued a notice to appear.
- A 71-year-old woman reported theft at the 2700 block of Trafalgar Square, Wednesday morning.
According to a police report, an unknown thief entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and stole a pair of glasses and a flashlight.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- A 21-year-old man was arrested for public urination at Fubar, 306 1/2 E. Green St., early Thursday morning.
According to a police report, the officer observed the subject urinating in front of the business, and issued the offender a notice to appear in court.
- A 23-year-old woman reported theft at High Dive, 51 Main St., Wednesday afternoon.
According to a police report, an unknown thief stole the victim's purse and used her credit cards at locations outside of the Champaign area. The purse contained various identification cards, credit cards, U.S. currency, United Kingdom currency, an iPod touch, white gold earrings with diamonds, Gucci sunglasses and a GPS system.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- A 23-year-old man reported residential burglary at the 1500 block of Hedge Road Wednesday afternoon.
According to a police report, an unknown offender burglarized the victim's residence. The offender took a 32-inch flat-screen television, an Xbox game, a gold Movado watch and three DVDs.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- A 21-year-old woman reported property damage at the 500 block of East Springfield Avenue Wednesday night.
According to a police report, unknown offenders broke a double pane window at her apartment.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
Urbana
- A 20-year-old man reported possible overdose at the 1800 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue Wednesday night.
According to a police report, officers responded to a possible drug overdose. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim had had a bad reaction to medicine. The apartment was secured and the victim was transported to the hospital in good condition.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
University
- A man reported vehicular theft at Taft Hall, 1213 S. Fourth St., Friday night.
According to a police report, the man said that when he returned to school on Saturday, his 2007 Honda motor scooter valued at $3,000 was gone. It had been parked on the sidewalk. He told police that he delayed reporting the missing scooter because he thought perhaps friends had moved it.
