Inter-religious dialogue speakers discuss faiths

The session was the third in a serious of inter-religious dialogues planned by the Intercultural Friendship Foundation, a group that works to promote understanding among people of different cultural and religious backgrounds.

At least 16 passengers killed after bomb hits bus in southern Iraq; 3 more US soldiers die
11:01 AM 3/11/2008 — BAGHDAD- A roadside bomb hit a bus traveling in southern Iraq on Tuesday, killing at least 16 civilians, while gunmen opened fire on another bus in the capital, leaving one person dead, police said. The U.S. military, meanwhile, reported three American soldiers killed Monday by a roadside bomb north of Baghdad, bringing to eight the number of troops who died that day.

CDC study says at least 1 in 4 teen girls has an STD
11:38 AM 3/11/2008 — CHICAGO - At least one in four teenage girls nationwide has a sexually transmitted disease, or more than 3 million teens, according to the first study of its kind in this age group.
A virus that causes cervical cancer is by far the most common sexually transmitted infection in teen girls aged 14 to 19, while the highest overall prevalence is among black girls - nearly half the blacks studied had at least one STD.

24 killed in suicide attacks in Pakistan; more than 200 others wounded
12:12 PM 3/11/2008 — LAHORE, Pakistan - Massive suicide bombs ripped through a seven-story police headquarters and a business on Tuesday, killing at least 24 people and wounding more than 200 others in attacks that deepened Pakistan's security crisis. The two blasts happened about 15 minutes apart in different districts of this eastern city.

Conservation groups sue officials
2:11 PM 3/11/2008 — ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Three conservation groups sued the Department of the Interior on Monday for missing a deadline on a decision to list polar bears as threatened because of the loss of Arctic sea ice.
A decision was due Jan. 9, one year after the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposed listing the animals as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.

Robbery at Chase Bank in Urbana
10:12 AM 3/14/2008 — Chase Bank in Urbana reported a robbery Tuesday morning, according to a press release from the Urbana Police Department.
Officers responded at about 10:25 a.m. after the alleged suspect had already left the scene. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash, yet never displayed a weapon on any kind, said police.

Motion to cut voting age to 17 moves on to House
