Posted: 4/9/08 Section: News
A 19-year-old woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted by four men, said Urbana Police Lt. Bryant Seraphin, although the location of the incident is still unknown.
Officers were dispatched to Provena Covenant Medical Center, 1400 W. Park St., Urbana, at 4 a.m. Saturday, said Seraphin.
After having gone to the bars, the woman said she met a man who took her to his residence, said Seraphin. In the man's bedroom, three other men joined in sexually assaulting her, the woman reported to police.
After the alleged sexual assault, the woman reported that the first man took her home.
Her friends then took her to the hospital. The Urbana police are continuing their investigation. There have been some developments, Seraphin said, although he was not willing to elaborate.

Find out who did this, but please, for the love of God, get some physical evidence and be sure the woman isn't crazy before ruining the lives of the suspects like was done in the Duke case. (Continued…)

Ceretainly, the woman didn't exercise good judgement, but gang rape--if it occurred--sounds rather animalistic to me! Perhaps the Board of Trustees should become involved!

The fact that people are accusing this woman of lying or "not being the brightest crayon in the box" absolutely disgusts me. No one knows the whole story what if this man put a date rape drug in her drink or maybe like everyone else in the world she made a bad judgment call and had to learn the worst way in the world that you dont go home with people you dont know.
