Champaign

• A 20-year-old man reported robbery at the 100 block of East Springfield Avenue on Friday morning.

  According to a police report, an unknown offender struck the victim in the face, breaking his glasses. The offender then stole the victim's wallet.

  No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

• A 21-year-old man was arrested for obstructing justice and having an in-state warrant for his arrest at the intersection of Bradley Avenue and Garden Hills Drive early Monday morning.

  According to a police report, the victim's vehicle was stopped for no rear registration light. A written warning was issued, and the offender then lied about his name. The offender was later arrested on a valid warrant for his arrests.

• A 57-year-old man reported residential burglary at the 200 block of North Fair Street on April 22.

  According to a police report, the victim's residence was broken into by an unknown offender. Several items were stolen including a television, a laptop and electronic games.

  No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

• A 38-year-old man was arrested for residential burglary at the 100 block of West Vine Street on Tuesday afternoon.

  According to a police report, the offender entered the victim's apartment and took items belonging to the victim including jewelry and liquor.

• A 18-year-old St. Joseph, Ill., woman reported burglary from a motor vehicle at the 2100 block of Monona Court on Monday afternoon.

  According to a police report, an unknown offender entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and stole a MP3 player and accessories.

  No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

• A 32-year-old man reported unlawful use of weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm at Dorsey Homes, 1100 Dorsey Drive, on Tuesday night.

  According to a police report, an unknown offender shot a single round into the air.

• A 62-year-old man and a 49-year-old women were arrested on multiple offenses at the 300 block of West Tremont Street early Tuesday morning.

  According to a police report, officers were investigating gun shots fired in the area of the 200 block of West Eureka Street when they came upon a suspicious vehicle parked at the 300 block of West Tremont Street. The female offender and driver gave a false name, refused to get out of the car and had to be maced in order to get her out of the vehicle. She was arrested on two warrants as well as obstructing justice, resisting an officer, drug equipment possession and aggravated battery. The male offender was arrested on a city warrant for his arrest.

• A 38-year-old woman reported theft at Country Inn and Suites, 602 W. Marketview Drive, on Tuesday afternoon.

  According to a police report, while staying at the hotel, an unknown offender stole three rings from her hotel room.

  No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Urbana

• A 64-year-old Cairo, Ill., man reported theft of motor vehicle part and accessories at the Carle Hospital parking garage, 611 W. Park St., on Tuesday morning.

  According to a police report, an unknown offender removed the rear license plate from his vehicle while the victim was parked at the Carle parking garage.

• A 29-year-old man reported identity theft at the 1600 block of North Lincoln Avenue on Tuesday morning.

  According to a police report, an unknown offender gained the victim's personal identification information and was using the information to open lines of credit. Several of those lines were turned into collection agencies, alerting the victim that this was taking place.

  No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

• A 96-year-old woman reported theft at the 1200 block of Colorado Avenue on Tuesday morning.

  According to a police report, an unknown offender ran up behind the victim and stole a bag of items from the victim's cart.

  No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

University

• The Admissions and Records Building, 901 W. Illinois St., reported criminal damaged to property Tuesday morning.

  According to a police report, at 7:30 a.m., maintenance personnel found that the water in the ornamental fountain on the east side of the building had been colored green, sometime since 5 p.m. the previous evening.

  They also found a red discoloration in the concrete edging around the fountain. Testing showed the substances used were not hazardous. No estimate was given on the cost to repair the damage.
