Champaign

  • A 47-year-old man was arrested late Sunday night at the 00 block of East Bradley Ave. after officers discovered he was in possession of a controlled substance.

    According to a police report, police pulled the suspect over to the side of the road after he signaled improperly. He was also charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

  • A 51-year-old man was arrested for selling alcohol to a minor Carmon's Restaurant, 415 N. Neil St., on April 30.

    According to a police report, Champaign Police conducted a covert liquor detail.

  • A 28-year-old man was arrested for delivering cannabis at the 900 block of East Colorado in Urbana on May 7.

    According to a police report, a search warrant for the address resulted in the seizure of approximately 28 grams of cannabis.

  • LS Building Products at the 800 block of Pioneer Street reported credit card fraud on April 30.

    According to a police report, a suspect used a company credit card to purchase gasoline for his personal vehicle.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • Police responding to a party call located a spent shell casing late on the night of May 7.

    According to a police report, the casing may have been connected to a shots fired call that day.

  • An 18-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were arrested at Pizza Hut, 409 N. Mattis Ave., for purchasing food with a bad check.

    According to a police report, the pair purchased food and drinks by using a counter check from an invalid account.

Urbana

  • A 50-year-old male postal worker reported he was bitten by a dog as he delivered mail at the 700 block of East Evergreen Circle Monday afternoon.

    According to a police report, there was no answer when officers knocked on the door of the residence. The postal worker sustained minor injuries.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 16-year-old girl claimed a 16-year-old boy has threatened her with a knife at the 1200 block of Lanore Drive late Monday night.

    According to a police report, witnesses said the boy did have a knife but no threatening remarks or gestures were made.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A revolver was found at the 1000 block of Austin Drive late Monday night.

    According to a police report, the reporting person found the weapon and called the Urbana Police Department to turn the weapon in. It was placed into an evidence locker at the department.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 53-year-old woman reported theft at the 1200 block of West University Avenue Monday morning.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender entered her motel room and stole a Canon Power Shot digital camera and a 30-gigabyte iPod.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 14-year-old girl was caught attempting to steal an ice cream bar at the 1700 block of Philo Road Monday evening.

    According to a police report, she concealed the merchandise down her pants and was stopped by police when she attempted to leave the store. The girl was turned over to her mother and given a juvenile court appointment.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 41-year-old man reported criminal defacement of his property at the 900 block of North Busey Avenue Monday evening.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender wrote an obscene word on the victim's wet concrete driveway.
