Champaign

  • A 37-year-old woman reported burglary at the 500 block of north Prairie Tuesday.

    According to a police report, a window screen was cut by an unknown suspect who then entered the building. Stolen property included a gray iPod shuffle, a computer cable modem, money, two DVDs and the victim's tabby cat.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 33-year-old woman reported theft under $300 at the 100 block of north First Street at Jackson's Ribs & Tips May 18.

    According to a police report, the victim's wallet was taken by an unknown suspect.

  • A 30-year-old woman was arrested for burglary at Wal-Mart at the 2600 block of north Prospect Avenue Tuesday.

    According to a police report, the woman entered the store and shoplifted items including Absolut vodka, 1800 Tequila, a bike chain, a Diet Coke, a three pack of underwear and Calvin Klein Eternity perfume.

  • A 15-year-old boy was found to be in possession of cannabis at Central High School at the 600 block of west University Avenue.

    According to a police report, the juvenile was found with a small amount of cannabis on school grounds.

  • A 20-year-old woman, a 22-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman was arrested for burglary at Meijer at the 2400 block of north Prospect Avenue on May 22.

    According to a police report, the three women were arrested after they were identified as attempting to steal items from the store.

Urbana

  • Theft was reported at the 1700 block of Philo Road Wedneday.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender attempted to steal a 12-pack of Corona and was stopped by the reporting person. Before the police arrived, the offender fled the scene.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • Two 17-year-old boys were arrested for purchase, possession, or consumption of liquor by minors late Tuesday night.

    According to a police report, officers investigated a suspicious vehicle and discovered the two boys had been drinking underage.

  • Residential burglary was reported at the 1600 block of Melrose Valley Tuesday.

    According to a police report, unknown offenders entered the apartment without permission and stole a laptop computer, a lime green iPod nano, a Compaq silver digital camera, a Samsung DVD player, a pair of Air Jordan shoes, a black laptop and an iPod touch with a leather case.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
