  • Residential burglary was reported at the 00 block of Kara Drive Tuesday night.

    According to a police report, an unknown subject broke into the residence and stole jewelry and a Sony Playstation 3 game. Damage to the property was also reported.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • Residential burglary was reported at the 1200 block of north Hickory Street early Thursday morning.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender entered the house by removing a window air conditioner.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.


  • Menards reported retail theft at the 600 block of Town Center Drive Tuesday.

    According to a police report, a suspect stole a Bosch 18-volt cordless drill from the business.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.


  • A 46-year-old man was arrested for possession of alcohol on public property at parking lot on the 300 block of south Randolph Street Wednesday.

    According to a police report, the man was issued a notice to appear for possession prohibited on public property and business parking lots.


  • Identity theft was reported at the 1300 block of west Washington Street Wednesday.

    According to a police report, an unknown subject opened an online checking account using a 28-year-old woman's identity.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.


  • A 46-year-old man was arrested at High Dive at the 00 block of Main Street for public urination late Wednesaday night.

    According to a police report, an officer observed the offender walking between cars in the parking lot. He then unzipped his pants and began urinating and was issued a notice to appear.

  • Crystal Lake Park reported theft at the 100 block of west Park Street Wednesday morning.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender took a 46-year-old woman's unattended purse while she was attending a birthday party at the park.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.


  • Prairie School reported theft at the 2100 block of east Washington Street Wednesday afternoon.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender stole a 38-year-old man's children's bicycles from the school's bike rack.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.


  • Durst Cycle reported deceptive practices at the 1100 block of west University Avenue Wednesday.

    According to a police report, a 37-year-old man entered the business and purchased a bicycle with an invalid check from a checking account that had been closed for two months.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.


  • An 84-year-old woman reported criminal damage to property at the 1900 block of south Anderson Street Wednesday night.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender caused damage to the property after throwing a rock at the victim's window.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
