Champaign

  • Mobil Super Pantry, 59 E. Green St., reported theft Saturday evening.

    According to a police report, a 34-year-old man was arrested after he left the store without paying for a can of Bud Light.


  • Country Market, 1914 Glen Park Drive, reported theft on June 12.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender stole several bottles of Absolut brand vodka from the store. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.


  • A 46-year-old man reported damage to his car at the 800 block of Ventura on June 17.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender scratched the vehicle while it was parked in the driveway.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.


  • Three 19-year-old women reported their apartment at the 400 block of east Green Street had been burglarized Friday night.

    According to a police report, an unknown suspect entered the apartment and stole cash and frozen food. The unit's door was damaged during the crime.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.


  • A 23-year-old man was arrested at the 1800 block of north Mattis Avenue Saturday evening.

    According to a police report, officers stopped the vehicle the man was riding in for loud music and saw open alcohol and cannabis in the vehicle. The man was arrested for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

    The 25-year-old female driver was issued a citation for the loud music.


Urbana

  • A 34-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct at the intersection of Goodwin Avenue and Illinois Street Friday morning.

    According to a police report, the man was angry at the 39-year-old female victim for issuing him a parking ticket. He drove toward her in a reckless manner and she became concerned for her safety.


  • An 18-year-old man was issued a notice to appear for consumption of alcohol as a minor at the 1900 block of north Lincoln Avenue just after midnight Saturday.


  • A 35-year-old woman was involuntarily admitted for her own safety early Saturday morning at the 1000 block of north Matthews.

    According to a police report, the woman called police and said voices were telling her to lay down in the street. The woman has a history of mental problems.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.


  • An 85-year-old woman reported theft at the 3100 block of east University Avenue Friday evening.

    According to a police report, the woman left her purse in an unattended shopping cart at Aldi's. When she went back to get the purse, it was gone.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.



University

  • An unknown man on a motorcycle led an officer on a chase after the officer attempted to stop the man for a registration violation Thursday night.

    According to a police report, the officer stopped the motorcyclist near the intersection of Neil and Healey streets. The man stopped initially but drove away as the officer exited his squad car. The officer chased him down First Street but lost sight of the motorcycle near Philo Road and ended the pursuit when he was no longer able to locate the offender again.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
