C-U MTD board passes budget, removes stops
10:44 PM 6/25/2008 — The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District Board unanimously passed its budget for the fiscal year 2009 Wednesday afternoon.
The budget allocates $16.93 million for operations, $4.851 million for maintenance and $4.088 million for general administration. In addition, $873,000 was allocated for maintenance and other expenses for the Illinois Terminal.

Police say Bill Merit, 49, left the Chatham County jail and began walking by the side of the road, naked. Witnesses called police, who arrested him and jailed him again on a charge of public indecency.
