The Illini volleyball squad was in control at Ohio State on Friday night, defeating the Buckeyes in three sets (25-17, 25-23, 25-16).
Illinois' block continued to improve as sophomore middle blocker Johannah Bangert recorded 9 block assists on the night. And sophomore middle blocker Abby Nelson contributed 8 kills while hitting .438 and recording a pair of service aces.
With the sweep, the Fighting Illini improve to 12-4 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten. The Illini face No. 23 Michigan on Saturday.
