The Urbana Police Department received a report of an attempted sexual assault near Lincoln Avenue and Oregon Street at 2 a.m. Saturday.
The victim, a 21-year-old female, was headed north when the offender, coming from the south, pushed her to the ground. According to the police report, the offender indicated an intent to harm her, so the victim kicked him in the groin. The victim escaped.
The offender is described as a clean-shaven black male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 170 lbs. He wore a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and white shoes with black stripes.
