Four power-play goals, including two from Alex Park, proved decisive in the Illinois hockey club's 5-3 win over No. 17 Western Michigan. Freshman Daniel Cohen had a three-point effort in the victory, including his first career goal.

Illinois jumped to a 3-1 lead after two periods, but the Stallions would tie the game early in the final period with two goals in a 1:09 span.

But Park's second goal would allow the Illini to retake the lead two minutes later, and a textbook one-timer from Jordan Pringle sealed the victory in a very physical game. In the game's final minute, two Western Michigan players and the Illini's Pierce Butler received game disqualifications for fighting.

Illinois will look to earn its 15th win and remain undefeated in the series finale tomorrow at the Ice Arena. Faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
