I’m far from a NCAA committee member, but I am logical in this thought: To be the best, you have to beat the best. In no way am I saying they’re the best, but our Illini have beaten many of the best.

An injury hurts as much as a loss in the days before the brackets are drawn up for March Madness. Syracuse endured both and will have to rack up some major frequent flier miles to make a run to the Final Four.

It may seem like a downgrade for junior Leigh Finnegan, but her team seems to be benefitting more with her playing lower in the singles lineup. Playing mostly at the No. 1 singles last season, Finnegan has slowly fallen down the pecking order while recovering from a hip flexor injury that plagued her in the beginning of this season.
